Wood is a versatile raw material and the only renewable construction material. Wooden structures are usually characterised by a combination of different components that together deliver the best possible load-bearing capacity, thermal, acoustic and moisture insulation, fire resistance and a long service life.
Increasing the proportion of wood in construction can facilitate a reduction in the use of other construction materials, such as concrete, steel and brick. These construction materials don’t come from renewable raw materials, they require a great deal of energy for their production and they entail higher emissions of carbon dioxide.*

SAUNA










The drawings represent the type of Zome cabin that can vary in size, number and type of glass openings, thickness of insulation etc. This is a custom made sauna, it is 3.50 m high and has an area of 4.41 square meters. It is geometricaly the simplest Zome which can be used as a bungalow or an office. The cabin is placed on adjustable pillars (which are embedded into the ground) so it doesn’t touch the ground and can be easily leveled. There are diferent possibilities for creating an interior space, even if it is only under 5 square meters on the ground, the area expands with height. Assembly can be done in 3-4 days by 3 workers, it can be easily disassembled and reassembled.

BUNGALOW #4


While the basis of the Zome 4 is very small, the shape offers a lot of possibility in the way it expands vertically. Originally imagined as a sauna, it can be used as a home office or a cabin.
It can be used as a living space extension near your house or as a completely independent building.
We have multiple possibilities for bungalow use. Depending on the use and location there are different material options, thermal insulation and heating systems. Sleeping in a zome is an unexpected experience.

STARGAZING #4


We have multiple possibilities for bungalow use. Depending on the use and location there are different material options, thermal insulation and heating systems. Sleeping in a zome is an unexpected experience.



This is an option for bungalows for 2-4 persons, with a glass rooftop. The transparent rooftop and windows are made of thermally insulated glass. The frame construction is made with LLD Scots pine. Our exterior and interior wall coverings and flooring are made of Siberian larch. The entrance door is custom made, insulated, with high termal resistance, and the foundations are ajustable galvanized steel pilons.
